About Jo

Experienced yoga teacher. Birth & Postnatal Doula. Supportive Human.

I’ve been teaching yoga for over a decade, with more than 4,000 hours of teaching experience across studios, community spaces and corporate settings. Yoga has been a constant in my life for many years, and I feel incredibly lucky that my work allows me to share it with others.

Soon after completing my first teacher training, I went on to specialise in pregnancy and postnatal yoga. I loved supporting women through this extraordinary time — helping them stay connected to their bodies, prepare for birth and navigate the many physical and emotional changes that come with pregnancy and early motherhood.

Becoming a mother myself deepened this passion. I became fascinated by birth, the fourth trimester and matrescence — the profound process of becoming a mother. I wanted to offer more than yoga alone, so I trained as a doula, allowing me to support women and families with practical, emotional and informational support throughout pregnancy, birth and the postnatal period.

I believe birth is a rite of passage and one of the most transformational experiences we can go through. It’s a real privilege to be alongside someone during such an important moment in their life — to listen, reassure, hold space and offer support when it’s needed.

I particularly love my work as a postnatal doula. Those early weeks and months with a new baby can be beautiful, intense, exhausting and everything in between. It's a

time when so much attention naturally goes to the baby, but the mother needs nurturing too. I love creating a safe, supportive space where new mums can rest, recover from birth, talk openly, build confidence and slowly find their feet in this new chapter.

Community is a huge part of what I do. I love bringing new mums together and creating spaces where they can meet, share, laugh, sometimes cry, and realise they’re not doing this alone. After postnatal yoga we have tea and a chat — because connection and a cup of tea can sometimes be just as important as the yoga.

Whether you come to me for yoga, doula support or simply a little bit of community, my hope is that you leave feeling:

more connected, more informed, more supported and more at home in yourself.

Outside of work you can often find me cycling around Reading or I love to be outside somewhere like the beach, the forest or simply hanging out with my family at the park or in the garden. I love learning so I always have a book on the go or a workshop to be attended. I love a cuppa so any activity involving tea is a win!
